The Irish as Cultural Middleware

Why are the Irish viewed at the very least as neutral by most cultures and as a positive by the vast majority?  Why do Irish leaders out perform in global organisations?  Could it be that our tribe has competitive advantages that speak to who our people are, our history and the unique way we process information.  In a changing world our unusual skill in parsing ambiguity is something that needs to be understood and nurtured.
